Opti Green Fleet Team (Ages 7-10)

Where it all begins! Opti Green fleet is the competitive starting point for our youngest sailors and is designed to close the skill gap between sailors who are just entering the world of competitive sailing and those who have been competing for some time. This program operates year round, competes in 7 different local and travel events, and is the first opportunity for first time sailors to hit the race course!

CSC Junior Race Team (Ages 9 – 12)

The CSC Junior Race Team is the next level from Opti Green. These Sailors compete on the Opti RWB circuit and focus their practice time on learning more complex sailing theory, course management, and boat handling. This program operates year round, competes in 7 different local and travel events, and serves as the perfect precursor for the more technical levels of sailing offered at Columbia Sailing Club.

CSC C420 Team (Ages 12 – 18)

The CSC C420 team is the highest level of dinghy racing offered in the Midlands area. Participants will learn to master the planing hull of the C420 while also being exposed to trapeze and spinnaker handling. Columbia Sailing Club’s C420 sailors compete in both the SAYRA and SAISA circuits and represent a number of Midlands High School teams including: River Bluff, Lexington, Chapin, and Ben Lippen. This program operates year round, competes in up to 14 different local and travel events, and serves as the perfect pathway to College and Keelboat sailing opportunities.
