This class is designed for kids who are new to sailing or have already completed one or two camp sessions and are eager to build their skills in a fun, supportive, and safe environment. Whether it’s their very first time on the water or they’re looking to refine their basic skills, this class offers a welcoming place for every sailor to grow and explore.

At the heart of the Sailing 101 class is a focus on safety, fun, and the fundamentals of sailing. Students will learn the basics of boat handling, steering, and the key sailing terms they’ll need to navigate a sailboat with confidence. Through a combination of on-water instruction, games, and activities, campers will get hands-on experience while developing new skills, making friends, and enjoying all the excitement of an Autumn on Lake Murray.
